Hello there, thanks for visiting my website. I grew up in India around lots of experimental food by my Mum - a tenacious home cook, french dessert and chinese bread lover. I moved to the US in 2015 for public policy graduate degree at University of Chicago, and over the years between several day jobs in Finance, I realized that cooking and baking is what gives me joy! UFS is my humble pursuit of that joy that I feel everytime I host dinner parties, develop new products for the bakery and complete bake-a-thons over days for events. That adrenaline rush is simply indescribable.

Bread making is my ideal form of meditation. A touch of cardamom in all sweet recipes is my signature move. I'm hopelessly obsessed with Tahina-Dark Soy-Maple Syrup flavor combo. I love dumplings, noodles, bubble tea, all types of cheese, all things Korean (K-pop, K-drama, K-beauty, K-snacks, you name it) and endless cuddles with my fur-baby Mochiko. Other than bananas, mangoes, brownies and candies I eat pretty much anything that’s Vegetarian and have an undying love for anything citrus!

All things I create are inspired by - my mum’s mantra of “no fixed rules in kitchen”, my husband’s love for all vegetables, my love for NYC and my favorite chef Yotam Ottolenghi.
